Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all visitors to The Locked Door.

  1. General

    1. By making a booking you are accepting these terms and conditions on behalf of yourself and all members of your team.
    2. The Locked Door recommends teams to arrive a minimum of 10 minutes before the booking time.
    3. The Locked Door relies on confidentiality and discretion from its players. You agree not to take any photos or make any recordings of the games or rooms.
    4. You agree to not publish, or allow to be published, any details of the rooms.
    5. You agree to pay The Locked Door reasonable costs relating to damage to property that is intentional or caused by intentional misuse of any items.
    6. You and your team participate in the games entirely at your own risk.
    7. The Locked Door doesn’t tolerate any kind of bullying or harassment towards its staff.
  2. Bookings

    1. Only person(s) who are at least 18 years of age are permitted to book a game.
    2. Any purchase is only valid once it is processed by The Locked Door and confirmation is sent.
    3. By submitting an Online Booking Form you warrant to The Locked Door that all details supplied by you are true and accurate.
    4. If your team does not arrive on time we reserve the right to refuse entry and cancel the booking without refund.
    5. The Locked Door reserves the right to cancel a booking and will only refund the amount paid for that booking.
    6. Confirmation of your booking will be sent via email. It is your responsibility to notify us if you do not receive this email.
  3. Price and Payment

    1. The price of a game is stated in the Booking section of The Locked Door website and is set according to number of people in a room and may be based on peak/off-peak period.
    2. Payment is to be made immediately upon booking.
    3. The Locked Door is a live event, so once the booking is confirmed you will not be entitled to any refund.
    4. If fewer people attend the game than have been booked, no refund will be given.
    5. If more people are attending the game than is booked then prior notification must be sent and the price difference must be settled upon arrival.
  4. Cancellation and Changes

    1. If you cancel your booking you must notify us in writing as soon as possible. No refunds will be given on bookings that are cancelled.
    2. If we have to change or cancel a booking we will notify you straight away. You will be offered the choice of either a full refund or of an alternative booking time.
    3. If you wish to transfer your booking into someone else’s name, you must contact The Locked Door by either email or telephone at least 48 hours before the start of the game. This facility may be refused by The Locked Door.
    4. We will make every effort to fulfil change requests when they are given with more than 48 hours notice. If we are unable to meet your change request and you do not wish to proceed with the booking then this will count as a cancellation by you.
  5. Health and Safety

    1. Each player will participate at their own risk. The Locked Door is not liable for any accidents, personal injury or equipment/property damage caused by inappropriate behaviour or from not following of the Game Rules.
    2. People under influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate and we reserve the right to refuse entry and cancel the booking without refund.
    3. To be admitted you must confirm the full name of the booking payer and you might be asked to confirm phone number and email address.
    4. Children up to 15 years of age have to be accompanied by at least 1 adult per game.
